Hemanti Sarkar is a Mumbai-based freelance film editor. She holds a post graduate diploma in film and video editing from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. She has been an associate editor to Renu Saluja, who was one of the earliest women editors in India and a pioneer in the New Age Cinema Movement. Hemanti has edited several feature films including Parineeta and Barah Anna.
